Description
By Sato Masayoshi (1819-1865), Nagoya, Mid 19th century. The tiger crouching over a length of bamboo while the small monkey seated on the tiger's back plays with the latter's long tail, the eyes are inlaid in ivory and horn, the fangs in ivory and the tongue is carved from ebony.
