By Tanaka Minko (1735-1816), Tsu, The first, late 18th century, a mask of Kitsune with a movable jaw, eyes double inlaid in ivory and pins for the lower jaw also in ivory. Signed on the crossbar, Minko. 1?in (4cm). The second, early 19th century, the monkey triad, eyes inlaid in dark horn, good hair-work, one himotoshi is natural, the other is on the underside. Signed in a never seen irregular reserve, Minko. 1¾in (4.5cm). Provenance: The second, Purchased from Joseph U. Seo, 1966.
