Description

Circa 1830. The walnut piece having an excellent form and early surface with a shaped crown flanked by square topped capitals at each corner above two hinged doors having been well glazed and housing shelves within aligning perfectly with mullions above lower case housing two long drawers above two hinged and nicely paneled doors atop a nice tapered foot. The construction is generally mortise, tendon and pegs throughout. H82" W51 1/2" D18" Discovered in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Sold from the collection of Betty and Ralph Jennings of Gaffney, South Carolina.
