Condition
Not examined out of the frame. The canvasboard appears sound. There is some light frame abrasion, most apparent in the lower corners, and to the right edge. There is a fine scratch in the upper left corner, measuring approximately 0.5cm. There is a light scuff near the centre of the right edge. A square of paint around the signature has been left unvarnished. There are some traces of light surface dirt.
Ultra-violet light reveals a thick layer of varnish, making it difficult to read the surface of the paint, but there appears to be no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
