French Empire Gilt-Bronze and Marble Figural Clock
first quarter 19th century, the top with a seated baby and a shell, the case with an enameled chapter ring and corner quivers of arrows, mounted with a silk-string suspension movement, the case engraved "L'heure comme la bulle echappe en nos plaisirs" (the hour as the bubble escapes in our pleasures), on a verte antique marble base.
