American Tiger Maple and Mahogany Side Table

early 19th century, in the Sheraton taste, the rectangular top above a conforming frieze fitted with two burl drawers, raised on tall, slender, ribbed, circular legs ending in ring-turned peg feet.

In good overall condition. The top has scattered minor old stains and surface scratches consistent with age and use. The top is one board with exuberant tigering to the grain. One of the brass backplates to a drawer pull has cracking and and some losses. No visible repairs to the legs. The left rear leg has a chip at the top of the reeding along the inner edge. Good color and ppatina to the finish.
