Description
An early 1900s classic bronze male nude archer on an oval marble plinth. Bronze is signed by artist Joseph Johannes Uphues (1850-1911) and side is stamped "AKT=Ges Glandenbeck Berlin". This bronze was made by Aktien-Gesellschaft Gladenbeck foundry which was located in Berlin, Germany. The foundry operated from 1851-1926. During the 75-year period when the foundry was in operation it was one of the most important foundries in Germany and was known for producing high quality bronze castings. It measures 24" tall X 6" across X 6" deep

Missing one point of bow, repair to bow noted.
