A Dutch early 1800s bridal chest with hand-painted floral decorations, a true early piece of folk art. This early Dutch single-drawer chest with raised panels with floral hand-painted decoration on turned feet was probably a bridal chest from 1790-1810. This early Dutch bridal chest comes with a receipt from George Dean Antiques & Decorative Arts in Washington, D.C. for $750. George Dean was an extremely well-known colonial and early American furniture and accessory dealer in the Washington, D.C. area. Measures 13" tall X 22" across X 11" deep.
