Description
Alexander Graydon, first Prothonotary of Dauphin County, original signed document naming two men as overseers of the poor for Lebanon Township (now Lebanon County). The document is unusual insofar as Graydon did not serve long in office. He went on to an important legal career in Philadelphia. The document is also signed in the presence of Timothy Green, noted Revolutionary War hero. The document is dated 1789. Framed with additional information on Alexander Graydon. Very good.
