A large Roman pale amber glass aryballos
Circa 2nd Century A.D.
Of spherical form, with folded collar rim and two applied green glass dolphin-shaped handles, 15.2cm high

Aryballoi were used by Romans to carry olive oil and perfumed oils which served as a soap substitute. For a similar example cf. Martine Newby Haspeslagh, Ancient Glass From the Collection of Lord Michael Levy, London 2021, pp.32 & 95, no.49.
