A charcoal and blue chalk on paper drawing depicting working women, after Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, French, 1864 to 1901. Illegibly signed and dated 1855 in the lower right. Grey mat, silver frame. Comte Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa was a French painter, printmaker, draftsman, caricaturist and illustrator whose immersion in the colorful and theatrical life of Paris in the late 19th century allowed him to produce a collection of enticing, elegant, and provocative images of the sometimes decadent affairs of those times.
