Luigi Morgari was a pupil of Enrico Gamba and Andrea Gastaldi at the Accademia Albertina. He specialised in secular and religious subjects, always treated through a mystical and dreamy aura. He exhibited in Turin, Milan, Florence and Rome. He worked as affrescatore in numerous sanctuaries (Bussana and Rho, in the Cathedral of Alessandria, in the Church of San Gioacchino in Turin, in the Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Olevano di Lomellina (Pavia), in the palaces of the Quart family in Genoa in the San Luca and the Church of San Siro in Lomazzo). Among all his works, the frescoes in the minor Roman Basilica of San Nicolò in Lecco, executed between 1925 and 1928, stand out.
