North America, United States, ca. late 20th to 21st century CE. A lovely wood cane surmounted by a brass handle in the form of a dog- animal head grips were popularized in the 19th century - especially dogs. The underside of the curved dog's neck is signed "GM," presumably for the maker of this cane that is fit for any modern day dandy to use! Size: 36.5" L x 1.5" W (92.7 cm x 3.8 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Bishop Family Trust collection, the Trust of the late Bill Bishop, a noted antiquarian with shops in Scottsdale, Arizona and Allenspark, Colorado, USA, acquired before 2010
