Chinese Superb Jian Silver-Streaked Temmoku Bowl. Of large conical body with a wide flaring rim, covered overall with a glossy black glaze with iridescent silvery-blue 'hare's fur' streaks, the thick glaze pooling above the foot in a black bulge revealing the knife paired foot, the base incised with a circle of characters, the rim bound in a metal band. {Diameter 8.3 inches (21 cm)}. Condition: Oxidation to metal rim and some marks to the glaze.
