Folding screen with six panels, one side decorated with deer in the forest near a stream; the reverse decorated with flowers and birds.

Lacquer and gilding on wood, in six panels. Overall in good condition, with some occasional very light scratches, small dents, minor losses and chips to the work throughout, notably along the edges and near the hinges. There is inevitable light wear to the gilding throughout. Overall the colour remains fresh and bright.
The front side decorated with deer: The metal hinge at the bottom between the 2nd and the 3rd panel from the left is damaged, with associated dents and losses to lacquer of the 2nd panel due to the contact with the damaged hinge. An area of 2 x 1.5 cm loss to the tip of the bottom edge of the 4th panel, which was repainted in black. The inner side of the metal mount of the right foot of the 6th panel is slightly detached, as visible in images.
The reverse decorated with birds and flowers: Losses to the 5th panel due to repeated contacts with the damage hinge.
