Collection of 19th century Cartes-De-Visite portrait photographs of artists, musicians, politicians, actors and writers.
Mounted and housed within a tooled leather album.
Images include: poets, musicians, authors and actors such as William Thackeray, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Ludwig Beethoven, Johann Bach and other notable figures.
Each card laid into leaves with windows for CDVs, and many are captioned on the leaf in ink (rather faint).
Consists of 43 mounted CDV with many figures identified in pencil.
Album dimensions: 8 in. x 6 3/4 in.
Condition: good overall original estate condition, age related wear on boards.
Provenance: Boston, Massachusetts Estate.
