18th / 19th Century
A extremely rare translucent jadeite carved insect and melon with stand ( Grade A jadeite)
A beautiful translucent jadeite carved five insect symbolizes (Five Fortune) on top of the melon with scroll vines all over.
The translucent and color on this sized jadeite is extremely rare in Qing Dynasty, and plus its excellent craftsmanship.
22 x 7.5 x 7.5 cm. (8 5/8 x 3 x 3 in.)

清中期老坑玻璃種翡翠巧雕花果昆蟲擺件（帶座）
（局部玻璃種蘋果綠，A 貨翡翠）

此翡翠擺件利用翡翠沁色、通過透空雕手法、巧妙把花果與昆蟲的生動形態表現得活靈活現，巧奪天工，使人愛不惜手。
只有清中期宮廷造辦處得工匠才有這種完美無瑕的境界。花果上的五只昆蟲寓意“五福臨門”果實連年之意。此翡翠的色種在當時清朝可以說極為稀有之物。

來源：李清華，好萊塢的名人影星：“30秒”在東京與斯潘塞·特雷西，在與保羅·穆尼的“大地”，“花鼓歌”，關南施.
他的收藏遺產出售在蘇富比拍賣行1981年6月8日洛杉磯。這件作品是從他死亡之前購買。
