Built around an autobiographical text written by McDonnell, the book admits readers into the cartoonist’s world, where imagination and inspiration coexist with deadlines and practical restraints. The book contains 216 pages. In 1994 Patrick McDonnell created the comic strip MUTTS, which now appears in over 700 newspapers in 20 countries.
