Description
Anatolia, western Turkey, ca. 2nd millennia BCE. An extremely rare and fine red stone clover-leaf stamp seal. Large seal carved with hunting scene with bowman, two antelope running right looking over their heads to the left, and another zoomorph with what appears to be a spear or arrow emerging from its neck. Reverse with suspension knob, this also enhanced with etched geometric designs. A fabulous example of which I have never seen anything quite similar! Size: 1.75" W x 1.125" H (4.4 cm x 2.9 cm)
