Entitled "Mabel Downs Jump-Up" (Gilbine) the ochre on linen painting shows "the section of the old Hall's Creek to Wyndham road as it passed through the Mabel Downs pastoral lease. Abundant with the typical small hlls of the area, known as Gowaali-waali", the track was tortuous as it wound its way through the gullies and creek beds. Adjacent ot the old homestead, the jump -up was a steep rise in the road, and Beerbee remembers the heavily laden camel, bullock or horse drawn wagons and their Afghan drivers as they struggled to coax the wretched animals to the top."
