Vintage maple wood three drawer vanity with six glass shelves and a large mirror attached to reverse. Art Deco style form. The three drawers to obverse possess metal drawer pulls. One drawer has compartments. Glass shelves removable. No furniture maker mark / plaque, appears to be crafted by RED LION FURNITURE as this piece comes from part of a bedroom set crafted by RED LION FURNITURE. Other pieces available in this auction. Some chipping to glass. Some wear to piece consistent with age and use. Some wobble to mirror, needs reinforcement. Measures approx 69H x 48W x 19D inches. ‘Red Lion made furniture for the 1939 World’s Fair display in local newspapers. They are buried in the Red Lion news items, probably read only by people in the Red Lion area The Gazette and Daily of August 7 1939 relates that the house of glass at the New York Fair contains a bedroom suite made by the Red Lion Furniture company.
