A Pre-Columbian Lambayeque Valley Sican Chimu circa 1000-1450 AD burnished blackware spouted bottle vase or vessel in the shape of a melon with an anthropomorphic bird stop pecking at it, having incised lattice design covering body, small raised tab handle, and flared spout. Provenance: purchased from NY dealer—The Lands Beyond, 1218 Lexington Ave, NY, NY in 2006, from the collection of Lisa Royse, Atlanta, GA.
