Grouping of 24 pieces of Southern Coin Silver Flatware, including: 2 forks marked for Selma, Alabama retailer S.F. HOBBS c. 1860, with additional mark for Wood & Hughes, New York; 1 tablespoon marked J. CONNING MOBILE in separate rectangles for James Conning, (working Mobile, Alabama, 1842-1872); 4 tablespoons with shells at handle and back of bowls, 3 having pseudohallmarks and marked F. MARQUAND in rectangle, the other marked only F. MARQUAND & CO for Frederick Marquand, (working New York c. 1815 and Savannah, GA 1820-1839, including as F. Marquand & Co. 1834-1839); 2 tablespoons marked S. KIRK & SON and 10.15 in separate rectangles for Samuel Kirk, (working Baltimore 1846-1861); 1 tablespoon marked G.W. WEBB and 10 OZ 15 in separate rectangles for George W. Webb of Baltimore (b. 1812-d. 1890); 2 teaspoons each marked A.E. WARNER in rectangle for Andrew Warner of Baltimore (b. 1786-d. 1870), 1 marked 10.15 in rectangle, the other marked 11; 1 teaspoon marked E. AKERS incuse (working Baltimore, c. 1840-1860); 1 teaspoon marked HYDE AND GOODRICH in rectangle for James Hyde and C.W. Goodrich, (working New Orleans, c. 1816-1866); 1 dinner fork and 8 dessert forks marked W & H STERLING, incuse, for Wood and Hughes of New York with incuse retailer mark for A.B. Griswold & Co., (working New Orleans, 1865-1924); and 1 Butter knife marked for both Benjamin L. Hood (working Buffalo, NY, 1841-1844), and retailers Henderson and Gaines, (working New Orleans, 1841-1865). Ranging in size from 6" to 9 5/8" L. Combined weight: 34.76 total troy ounces.

Scattered dents to bowls and wear to spoon tips, monograms, generally good condition. Marquand spoons - excellent condition.
