WWII Japanese insignia lot to include 1) JAPANESE CASED CAPTAIN'S UNIFORM SHOULDER BOARDS. A pair of service dress shoulder boards in the original case. It is composed of interwoven golden-yellow cords and three rank stars, with a chrysanthemum, golden-coloured alloy button to one end. The undersides of the boards are lined in green wool with hinged sliders. The case measures approximately 5 1/2 x 4 1/32. 2)  (IJN) LIEUTENANT'S SHOULDER BOARDS.A pair of stiffened, black wool shoulder boards featuring a golden tress stripe and three silver metal alloy "pips" in the shape of five petal cherry blossoms are sewn to the black wool background with a brass Naval button to one end. The reverse is covered with a leather with kanji that has a metal alloy slider attached. Is housed in the original issue box. 3)  (IJN) CAPTAIN'S SHOULDER BOARDS. A pair of stiffened, black wool shoulder boards featuring a golden tress stripes and three silver metal alloy "pips" in the shape of five petal cherry blossoms are sewn to the black wool background with a brass Naval button to one end. The reverse is covered with black paper that has a metal alloy slider attached. 4) IMPERIAL MARINE ENSIGN'S SHOULDER BOARDS. A pair of stiffened, green wool shoulder boards featuring a golden tress stripe and one gold metal alloy "pips" in the shape of five petal cherry blossoms are sewn to the green wool background with a brass button to one end and gold bullion trim on three edges. The reverse is covered with green ribbed wool. 5) SHOWA GRAND ENTHRONEMENT COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL. A Japanese commemorative medal and ribbon in its original case. To the obverse center of the 3cm diameter silver medal is set a sixteen-petal Imperial Chrysanthemum, in gilt, within the opened curtains of the Imperial throne, to either side of which are stylized clouds, and beneath which are the kanji characters for "Banzai!" (which usually translates to "May the Emperor Live Ten Thousand Years"). The image is bordered in alternating cherry and orange blossoms. To its reverse is a banner flanked by stylized clouds, all encircled by the outline of an Imperial Chrysanthemum. To the top of the banner are embossed the kanji characters for "Grand Enthronement," underneath of which are three vertically-arranged characters translating to "Commemorative Medal." Arching underneath the banner, from right to left, are the characters for "Showa era 3rd Year 11th Month" (November, 1928). A clasp is to the top of the medal, with a perforated ball to its top, through which passes the ribbon’s suspension ring. Fed unto the ring is a 4cm wide, watered silk ribbon, with five equal, vertical stripes to it, in purple, white, red, yellow and green. An elongated, vertical alloy hook is to its top, which folds down and mates with an eye sewn to its reverse.
