19th Century, pair palatial size carved gilt and green painted wood planters. Round top bowl with carved foliate scroll rim, lower shell decoration. Base with carved mask panels on sides, single hinged door, overall 29.25" h. x 27" top dia. This lot is from a $12 million dollar bay front property in Florida. Carefully curated by a committed Francophile lover of all things French and purchased throughout the later 20th Century in some of the finest markets and shops in France. One of over 140 lots in this auction from this collection. Condition: Wear and loss to gilt and paint, chips to decoration.
