Description
Each with original display boxes, paperwork and slip cases. One pen #1465/5000. the other pen #3770/5000. Boxes measure 7.5" x 4.25" x 1.75". Overall condition excellent. This piece was formerly owned by Arnold Crane, an American collector and photographer of global renown. From the 1950's through the 1990's, Crane enjoyed unparalleled access to such giants as Man Ray, Walker Evans, Ansel Adams and Edward Steichen and many others. His photography collection was the largest in the world at that time and became the lynchpin acquisition of a special wing of the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. His collections of African, Oceanic and Native American art are well-known. His own work is found in the permanent collections of the Met, MOMA and the Art Institute of Chicago.
