Original tan cloth with black lettering. BAL 11887. Sisson & Martens, p. 25; "The Night-Born" 1st ed. New York: Grosset and Dunlap, 1913 CE. 290 pp. Original light blue cloth with black and red ink. BAL 11942. Sisson & Martens, p. 67; "The Turtles of Tasman" 1st Ed. New York: Grosset and Dunlap, 1919 CE. 268 pp. with 6 pp. of advertisements. Original light green cloth with red, navy, and yellow ink. BAL 11968. Sisson & Martens, p. 90; "The Faith of Men and Other Stories" Sonoma Ed. New York: Leslie-Judge Company, 1925 CE. 232 pp. Original burgundy with gilt lettering. BAL 11878. A fabulous ensemble of 3 first edition and 1 Sonoma edition books by Jack London, each comprised of a collection of short stories; "Tales of the Fish Patrol" is autobiographical, rest are fictional. Size of largest (all about the same): 5.2" L x 1.3" W x 7.6" H (13.2 cm x 3.3 cm x 19.3 cm)

Born John Griffith Chaney, Jack London was an American novelist, journalist, and social activist who became one of the first American authors to gain international celebrity status. Considered an innovator of science fiction, London was a passionate advocate of unionization, workers' rights, and socialism. He is most famous for writing "The Call of the Wild" and "White Fang," both set in the Klondike Gold Rush which London joined at the age of 21 in 1897.
