"Washington's Official Map of Yorktown" National Archives
1952 National Archives Facsimile No. 21, "Washington's Official Map of Yorktown", at the time of Cornwallis' Surrender, Choice Crisp Extremely Fine.
1952-Dated, "Washington's Official Map of Yorktown", original complete folio printed by the National Archives at Washington, D.C. and sold by the Superintendent of Documents. This folio including 5 pages of background text plus a tipped-in, double-page facsimile of George Washington's Map of Yorktown. Large folio pages, measuring about 16" x 10.25" and the map measures about 19" x 15". Original red heavy paper wrappers with printed blue front label, stapled and string-bound. This National Archives Facsimile No. 21, was part of a series of important historical documents reproduced as collectible items. Some sun fading on the top 1.5" of the front cover, yet internally sound and in crisp virtually mint condition. The original map had some hand-coloring that is reproduced here, making this a great display piece. Rarely encountered.
