Description
American Spelter Slag Glass Lamp, probably Edward Miller, the curved six panel purple shade with floral and eagle cutouts, on a sloping lighted purple slag glass base, H.- 21 in., Dia.- 20 in.
Condition
There are no chips or cracks. The lamp is functional but the wiring is old, which we always recommend rewiring. The finial to screw the lampshade to the base is missing. Some of the metal brackets in the interior of the shade are missing which secure the glass panels in place and tape is being used as a temporary substitute. The metal is slightly oxidized throughout the piece. Wear is consistent with age and use. This is a very handsome example.
