Vintage carved wooden Figural. Depicting a gold painted Figural of Sivali, an arhat widely venerated among Theravada Buddhists. He is the patron saint of travel and is believed to ward off misfortunes at home such as fire or theft. His veneration predates the introduction of Theravada Buddhism into Burma. He stands on a lotus base with a walking stick in one hand and a bag in the other. Approximately 8 inches tall. Evident loss to figures nose and surface wear.
