Unique vintage 1950s Mohawk Carpets Native American Tommy Mohawk drumming boy lighted motion advertising countertop display with Walt Disney history. Tommy Mohawk was a cartoon character used by Mohawk Carpets of Amsterdam in advertising and promotional items during the 1950s. This cartoon character was created by a company that was linked to Walt Disney Studios. This particular piece of advertising appears to be in overall good cosmetic condition with paint loss, discoloration, andwear from use and age. There appears to be a repair to his neck. The display originaly lit up and Tommy moved his arm up and down appearing to beat the drum. The display is not currently functioning correctly and will need some work. The display starts to work and then appears to get stuck and stops moving. The light is not currently working and may need some rewiring. Overall this very hard to find piece display extremely well as is with fantastic colors and graphics. It measures approximately 23" tall by 15" across.
