SN: NSN Cal. 84 Bore (.381). Both pistols with 1-5/8” blued oct barrels marked “GREEN – LONDON” on top flat, muzzles engraved with straw leaf panel. Rounded silver foliate scroll and border-engraved scalloped boxlock actions are stamped with London gunmaker's view and proof marks near breech. Features folding triggers, blued dolphin form hammers. Bag -shaped walnut grips profusely inlaid with silver wire scrollwork and engraved leaves and blossoms. Small engraved silver diamond-shaped wrist escutcheons are blank, graceful tapered silver butt caps w/ foliate engraving. Together with their original green velour-lined fitted mahogany case and accoutrements; incl. 84 bore mold and balls, bbl wrench, diminutive “SYKES” flask and key.

CONDITION: Very Fine. Pistols retain much of the original blue finish on the barrels and hammers w/thinning at edges, balance with a mellow patina. Silver has wonderful old tones and largely intact. Grips are sound w/light rubs. Wirework remains intact. Good bores. Case has some slight warping of panels but remains intact. Interior with some age discoloration and partition separation.
