Presented here for your consideration are two vintage bits. One is a McCheney and the other is a Mexican made bit. Producer of handmade spurs and bits of one piece, John Robert McChesney was the first spur maker to widely market those Texas-style Western-gear items. The one we have here is marked as a McChesney bit, which would make it an "After McChesney", as they were not marked while he was alive. The second bit is a distinguishably and easily identifiable Mexican bit based off style and design. Both would be great for any Cowboy or Cowgirl's collection! MAKER: One bit is a marked McChesney bit, the other is unmarked. APPROX AGE: The McChesney bit is circa 1920-1950s, and the Mexican bit is early 1900s. SIZE: The Mexican bit has a 4 inch mouth piece and measures 7 inches overall, and the McChesney has a 5 inch mouth piece and measures 4-1/2 inches overall. CONDITION: Fair for their age, wear expected.
