Description
Pair of 18th century Chinese Export porcelain armorial famille rose dinner plates, bearing the arms and motto of the baronetcy of Lauder. Both depicting phoenixes surrounded by blooming peonies amongst other flowers.

Condition
The plates are in good condition overall with no major cracks or losses. When inspected under UV light, there is no visible sign of restoration. Both plates have chipping along the rim, which does not affect the overall work. Wear throughout, as expected; both plates have a few scattered areas that lost gilt. Both plates have minor unevenness to the underside, which is original to the pieces. One of the plates has a minute chip to the footrim. Both plates show minute original firing flaw to the underside.
