This Vintage MCM Lucille Ball Majorette Costume Head Vase 6” is one of those fun and fabulous pieces that brakes the sea of lovely ladies. You can find the Lucille ball with top hat from Mame but this one with her as a majorette is almost impossible to find. It also happens to be one of the very few head vases with a smile showing teeth...Very apropos for the Icon she represents. Lucy is in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, very clean inside and out, she was never used for anything other than display. All the colors are still very bright and wonderful and the 24Kt gold decorations are all there and intact. She has the normal clear crazing which is natural and totally expected on this model, not very noticeable in person as it is so very minute unless looking closely under strong light with magnifying glasses, my close up photos make it much more noticeable than in person. It’s all normal, clean and superficial, nothing strong that stands out or takes away from her in any way. Measures 6 ½” height, has no markings on the bottom, most likely Rubens- it most likely had a label at some point that came off. This is definitely a MUST HAVE, a model that will enhance any collection, stand on her own and appeal to Lucille Ball fans as well as Hollywood memorabilia collectors.
