A confluence of styles and influences, Ghashghai wool carpets incorporate a variety of cultural and historic tribal design elements with a row of three large medallions on a navy blue background and is framed beautifully by an intricate multi layered floral border. Handwoven by a master Persian carpet weaver in Fars, Iran. The approximate year of origin: 1975-1985. The nomadic tribal weavers inhabited parts of central Asia and the Caucasus before arriving in southern Persia, moving across the region over time.
