Pair of Chinese lacquered horse-shoe back armchairs, one chair decorated with a pair of dragons centering the flaming pearl while the other with phoneix and peony, both chairs with scrolling foliage throughout, each 39.25"h. x 26.25"w. Provenance: Estate of Joanna Barnes and Jack Warner (Santa Barbara, California). Ms. Barnes was a Hollywood film actress featured in movies such as "Auntie Mame (1958)" and "The Parent Trap (1961)". Mr. Warner was a prominent architect.
