Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Famille Rose Lotus Porcelain Large Lidded Tripod Incense Burner On Carved Hardwood Stand. Potted in shallow vessel form, thick large and deep, Ruyi shape handle flanked on the round opening lip, with dome lid open work white jade finial bud, raised with three short elephant legs. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered all in turquoise and famille rose design color, depicted of lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind. The Upper-exterior rim bears a reign mark, a six red script characters reign mark, enclosed within gilt over glaze rectangle lines. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
