Vintage c1940s Exploding Sawtooth Star quilt measuring about 68 x 84". The quilt is comprised of 396 1/2 square triangles measuring about 3.5 x 3.5", set straight, 18 x 22. Color placement of pastel cotton solid fabrics create the exploding star from the white center. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. It has been cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. Edges are finished with a red cotton solid commercial bias binding applied by machine to front, and hand to back. It is in good condition with a few seams coming unstitched and faint small yellow spots. A very graphic and unique piece. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
