Wonderful watercolor painting of Kikisoblu or Princess Angeline (c1820-1896), daughter of Chief Si'ahl or Chief Seattle (c1786-1866), leader of the Duwamish and Suquamish Tribes who welcomed early Seattle settlers. Watercolor painting was created from an original photograph by Asahel Curtis (1874-1941) which was taken approx one year before she passed. Measures 9" x 11". No visible artist signature.
Chief Seattle and Princess Angeline are quite fascinating and worth reading and learning about.
