Fred Haise Signed Souvenir Copy of Grumman's Infamous Towing Invoice
Fred Haise signed a souvenir copy of the humorous mock "towing invoice" issued by Grumman Aerospace to North American Rockwell, dated April 17, 1970, the day of Apollo 13's successful splashdown. Grumman, the manufacturer of the Apollo 13 lunar module, issued the fake invoice to Rockwell, the manufacturer of the command module, with no charge for "baggage handling". Haise signs in fine black felt tip at the bottom, "Thanks for the lift, Grumman - / Fred Haise / LMP Apollo 13". Document measures 8.5" x 11", in near fine condition.
This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
