Description
Mid-19th c. Weight Driven Clock, time and strike movement (with pendulum, weights and key), having a mahogany veneered case, molded edge cornice above a painted wooden face flanked by columns, hinged glass paneled door with reverse painted image of Monticello on base panel, above an additional hinged door with reverse painted decorative glass panel, with original paper label affixed to interior back panel "Patent Clocks with Brass Bushings, invented by Eli Terry, Manufactured and sold by Seymour, Hall & Co.", 31 3/4" high, 18 5/8" x 6 1/2". Veneer losses; dial paint losses; not observed running.
