Description
Elvis Presley Rare Sept. 2, 1972 Extra Special Show Concert Poster W/LOA From Ed Bonja - This is an extremely rare original concert poster for what is thought to be the only time that Elvis Presley ever played three shows in one night. This original glossy 1972 black and white casino poster advertises Elvis playing an "Extra Special Show by Popular Demand" at 3:00 AM on the morning of Sunday, September 2, 1972 (Labor Day weekend) at the Las Vegas Hilton. The show was hastily scheduled at the last minute due to overwhelming demand from the fans. Ed Bonja, Elvis' official photographer, friend and tour manager, took the photo on the poster, had them printed and helped hang them all over the casino. His accompanying Letter of Authenticity outlines the event and indicates just how special and rare this poster is. Elvis was paid $27,500 just for this additional show. "Burning Love" was his new RCA single and was racing up the charts, where it would eventually reach #2. This Elvis treasure from the personal collection of Bonja measures 16.25" x 19"and is printed on thick paper with the feeling of card stock, glossy on the front and flat mat on the back. The poster is in pristine condition. A similar poster with the same Bonja authentication sold recently for over $8,000.
