BIOGRAPHY:
A Barcelona contemporary painter and illustrator married to the painter Gumersindo Sainz. She began art studies at the School of Fine Arts of Barcelona, beginning around 1940 in the illustration of children's issues and getting to write and illustrate a story itself. Since then she is fully surrendered to easel painting, practicing pastel, watercolor and oil painting eventually. Her first exhibition was held at the Costa Galleries in Barcelona, then following new solo exhibitions in Valencia, San Sebastian, Bilbao, Madrid, etc. Besides her works of children's themes, she often focused on dance and choreography, where the graceful gestures and figures of the dancers perform with dynamic weightlessness. To mark the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, §§she was awarded the silver medal for her artistic merits of ballet.
