period hand drawn map of first Battle of Bull Run, Virginia, highly detailed in ink, with legend showing "cannon, woods, trenches, roads, r. roads", also illustrated locations for "S.C. N.C. Reg", "dead horses", "hospital", "first man killed", advancement of the "yankee camp", location of dead German-American Union soldiers so labeled "dead Hessians", map and notations reputedly by the hand of Confederate Dr. Joseph Hill present at battle, sight 9-1/2 x 7-1/2 in.
