Association copy, inscribed, signed, and dated by Bukowski to his friend and fellow poet Jack Hirschman, and his wife, Ruth Hirschman, on title-page: "For Jack and/Ruth Hirschman--/This 2nd. book of poems/which still wanders/but so does/freedom./sure,/Charles/Bukowski/10-7-63/7:35 P.M.", and with an original illustration by Bukowski on verso of front wrapper, initialed by him. Edited by Carl Larsen. Illustrated throughout by Bukowski. Original stiff staple-bound printed tan wrappers, small stain at top of front wrapper, faint pencil scrawl and a few minor stains on rear wrapper; all edges trimmed; minor dampstaining in upper fore-edge of some leaves.
