Description
35-star Civil War American parade flag featuring a rare haloed star design. Measuring 20” by 30,” this block-printed flag is larger than most extant examples.
The 35-star flag became official in July of 1863 upon the admission of West Virginia as a state, and remained the official star count until July 4th 1865.
Desirable piece due to the limited time in which it was produced, large size, and elaborate star configuration.
Condition as shown, some loss and fraying, though overall fine. Professionally framed with museum glass.
