Description
Greg Jaris Tropical Beach Wall Cabinet Outsider Folk Art Assemblage, Michigan artist of Sleeping Bear Gallery, painted grape crate repurposed and fitted as a wall or medicine cabinet with ravens or crows and a beach moon seascape harbor landscape, 25.5 x 14.25 x 5.625 inches, unsigned. Provenance: According to the family acquired from the artists Trick Dog era gallery. This is one of 34 lots that come from a second estate in the auction with Vanderbilt ties, the private collection of a New York interior designer, name withheld, who lived in the James Macnamee Clara Vanderbilt House that later became the George Vanderbilt House on Grymes Hill in Stapleton Heights on Staten Island before retiring to the Florida Gulf Coast.
