Description

Stag knob, 2 7/8" high with inset silver escutcheon engraved R. Bran, with 1/2" silver collar, attached to a fine stepped & tapered Malacca shaft with elliptical silver eyelets for wrist strap, second 7/8" wide silver collar at step with typical tapered brass & steel 4 3/8" long ferrule, fine old patina total length 36". These long ferrules are only seen on 18th century canes and were used due to the poor dirt roads of the period, that quickly became deep mud in wet weather. Condition Fine.
