Description
An antique early 20th-century Iraqi silver teapot with hinged lid and large spout. The body and lid of the piece are decorated with niellowork. The front side depicts a view of Taq Qasra, the remains of a Sasanian-era Persian monument, dated to ca. 3rd to 6th century AC and located near the modern town of Salman Pak. The backside represents a mosque and palm trees. The lid is topped with a figurative finial. Weight: 294 grams. Oriental Arabic Islamic Decor, Collectible Silverware.
